PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus such as a liquid crystal display apparatus capable of displaying an image of good quality over a wide temperature range.;SOLUTION: The display apparatus 1 is equipped with; a gamma correction circuit 2 including a gamma correction data output circuit 11 for outputting a plurality of gamma correction data according to a detected temperature, a plurality of registers 12₁ to 12_m for inputting and holding the plurality of gamma correction data, and a plurality of D/A converters (DAC) 13₁ to 13_m for converting data of the plurality of registers to analog voltages and outputting gamma correction setting voltages VI₁ to VI_m; a source driver 3 for inputting an image data and, according to the inputting, outputting an apply voltage corrected by the plurality of gamma correction setting voltages of the gamma correction circuit 2; a display panel 4 having a display element to which the apply voltage from the source driver 3 is applied; a nonvolatile memory 5 for storing the plurality of gamma correction data; and a temperature sensor 6 for generating an electric signal corresponding to the temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
