PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to all positioning requests in a short time by confirming a user's intention about notifying the third person of positional information when there are positioning requests simultaneously from a plurality of users. PSOLUTION: When receiving a positioning request from the third person during the execution of user positioning by self-starting (steps S2, S3) or receiving a positioning request from the different third person during the execution of positioning at the positioning request from the third person, positioning is not started on a mobile unit executing user positioning when further receiving a positioning request, but only the confirmation of the user's intention as to notification to the third person of positional information is carried out in parallel with positioning (steps S4-S9). Only when the intention confirmed result is "permitting position notification" at a point of time when the result of already started positioning is obtained, the same positioning result as the obtained positioning result is given to the positioning request received afterwards (step S14).
