PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a stable photoconductive material which does not lower its electrification ability even after repeated use without losing high sensitivity, to provide a dispersion liquid which makes the best use of the characteristics of the photoconductive material, to provide a stable electrophotographic photoreceptor which does not lower its electrification ability even after repeated use without losing high sensitivity and to provide an electrophotographic method forming few abnormal images even after repeated use and capable of giving a stable image, an electrophotographic device and a process cartridge for the device.;SOLUTION: In the method for producing titanyl phthalocyanine in which amorphous titanyl phthalocyanine having the highest diffraction peak at 7.0-7.5 as a diffraction peak (0.2) of Bragg angle 2 to characteristic X-rays (1.514 wavelength) of CuK is subjected to crystal transformation with an organic solvent in the presence of water, an antioxidant is contained in the organic solvent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
