PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a follow printing system in a press wherein stable registrability can be maintained without stopping operation of the press, and productivity can be improved.;SOLUTION: When a transfer of a register compensation roller 11 is detected by either of advancing side or delaying side modification limit sensors 32, 33 in a follow printing system wherein a divergence between a register mark of a pre-printing and a register mark of the follow printing is compensated by transferring the register compensation roller 11, the compensation roller 11 is transferred by the detected signal to return it within a register adjusting range. Simultaneously it is synchronized with a web pass length increase or decrease speed in response to the transfer speed, and a peripheral speed of a plate cylinder 7 is decreased or increased by the same time as a transfer time of the compensation roller 11 to change a phase of the plate cylinder. Therefore, productivity can be improved without stopping an operation of the press, an automatic register adjuster is always regularly operated, and an excellent registrability can be maintained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
