PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent NOx-N and an organocarbon source from leaking to the outflow water of a denitrification tank in high concentration by supplying the organocarbon source in proper quantities corresponding to the properties of sewage/wastewater.;SOLUTION: Both of the concentration of outflow NOx-N and the concentration of outflow soluble organic matter in the outflow water of the denitrification tank flowing out of a denitrification process are measured continuously in biological denitrification treatment and, when the concentration of outflow NOx-N is higher than a reference value and the concentration of outflow soluble organic matter is higher than a reference value, an abnormal state is judged to be generated to stop the supply of the organocarbon source. When the concentration of outflow NOx-N is higher than the reference value and the concentration of outflow soluble organic matter is lower than the reference value, the organocarbon source is supplied and, when the concentration of outflow NOx-N is lower than the reference value and the concentration of the outflow soluble organic matter is higher than the reference value, the supply of the organocarbon source is stopped and, when the concentration of outflow NOx-N is lower than the reference value and the concentration of the outflow soluble organic matter is lower than the reference value, the organocarbon source is supplied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
