PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing method of slightly water-permeable earth materials for rapidly measuring various kinds of characteristics in a sample used for each test of permeability or air permeability to the slightly water-permeable earth materials by quickly completing a saturation process while restraining the content of air. PSOLUTION: In the testing method of the slightly water-permeable earth materials, a granular material 1 of the slightly water-permeable earth materials adjusted to water content so that a gas region after compression molding becomes zero is filled into a molded container 9 in which air is removed in advance. Then, the sample 8 of the slightly water-permeable earth materials is created by performing compression molding while evacuating granular materials. After that, the molded container 9 incorporating the sample is moved to a testing apparatus for installation, and each apparatus and specific measuring instrument in an injection system and an exhaust system are interlocked to the sample in the molded container for testing, thus quickly completing the saturation process of the sample 8.
