The drive train (AS) of a motor vehicle includes at least one drive motor (1), an automatic gearbox (9) and a drive train management system (20) which comprises a driver and situation recognition system (31). The drive train management system contains an adaptation device (21) which is used to adapt the control behavior of the drive train (AS) to the respective driver of the motor vehicle.
