PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crack width detection method of a concrete structure for detecting the amount of increase in the crack width of the concrete structure in real time and accurately transmitting information on each warning, danger, or the like to the manager of the structure according to the conditions of the structure, and to provide a method for monitoring cracks.;SOLUTION: The relationship between the rate of change in resistance in a conductive material mounted on the concrete structure and the amount of increase in the crack width is grasped, the potential of the conductive material is measured to calculate resistance, and the rate of change in resistance is calculated from the resistance and the initial resistance of the conductive material, thus detecting the increased crack width.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
