PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the safety of work environment in synthesizing an amidoxime-type collecting material even in a large amount in its industrialization without using acrylonitrile conventionally used.;SOLUTION: This synthetic method for the amidoxime-type collecting material comprises graft polymerizing a reactive monomer onto a high molecular weight base material, introducing cyano groups into graft chains after the graft polymerization, and converting the cyano groups to amidoxime groups; thus, cyano groups are introduced without using acrylonitrile.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
