PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store an undecomposed silk fibroin for a long time in a state of aqueous solution without decomposing and to obtain an ointment, wound coating cream, wound healing agent, or cosmetics as a skin care material using a stable undecomposed silk fibroin solution since the undecomposed silk fibroin has a growth-promoting action for fibroblast derived from human skin. SOLUTION: In this method for producing the satisfactory undecomposed silk fibroin solution with a stability in storage, the undecomposed silk fibroin solution obtained by degumming a fresh cocoon, a cocoon shell or cocoon filament of a dried cocoon or cooked cocoon, a raw silk, a silk fabric, or its remaining filament or waste cocoon is dialized with an aqueous solution containing calcium ions or magnesium ions to obtain the undecomposed silk fibroin solution at a concentration of 0.03-2.0 M calcium ion or magnesium ion.
