The present invention provides an osteoclast differentiation inhibitor that can be used as a therapeutic agent for diseases of abnormal bone metabolism. Moreover, the screening method which searches the said osteoclast differentiation formation inhibitor is provided. The osteoclast differentiation inhibitor of the present invention comprises a substance that inhibits the binding of c-Src and ADAP (adhesion of degranulation-promoting adaptor protein) in monocyte-derived macrophage-like cells as an active ingredient. The screening method for osteoclast differentiation inhibitor of the present invention includes (a) a step of contacting c-Src and ADAP in the presence of a test substance, and (b) binding of c-Src and ADAP. And (c) selecting a test substance that inhibits the binding of c-Src and ADAP as an osteoclast differentiation inhibitor.
