PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet satisfactory in moisture permeability and wear resistance improvement.;SOLUTION: Production of the sheet material 1 involves steps of applying a solution for a main layer to a substrate, forming a porous main layer 11 by immersing the substrate coated with the solution for the main layer in an organic solvent B and successively drying the substrate, and forming a surface layer 12 on the surface of the porous main layer after applying a coating solution to the surface of the porous main layer 11 and successively drying the substrate.
