The device has a sewer pipe (2) connected with a duct tube (4), where sewage water (1) from the sewer pipe flows through the duct tube to rotate a turbine wheel (10). A generator produces electrical energy from rotation of the wheel caused by the sewage water flow. An independent claim is also included for a method for generating alternative energy.
