The vault has an insulating layer constituting a supporting structure and bales of natural material e.g. straw, rape stalks, paper, paper board and hay bales. The bales are obtained from rectangular bales (1), which are trimmed to trapezoidal bales and joined together at upper surfaces in the insulating layer. The supporting structure provides the insulating layer with required strength and deformation resistance towards permanent and variable loads. A hard layer of hardened species is on outside of the insulating layer. An independent claim is also included for Method for producing an arched Vault.
