The device (1) has manual or robotic units (6, 7) for picking of products i.e. peppers. A transport equipment (8) conveys the picked products, and a dispensing unit (14), which is movable between different positions, dispenses the product. A conveyor (15) is movably suspended, and a deflecting body (22) cooperates with the conveyor. The deflecting body transfers between an inactive state and an active state in which the deflecting body performs operation in a position between two ends of the conveyor. An independent claim is also included for a method for harvesting products.
