The method involves providing a wooden platform with a layer of lye, where the platform is provided with an oil layer. Two liquors are provided in the form of a solution of Sodium in water, after applying the oil layer. Two protective layers of oil are completely concealed inside a wood surface. A wood surface is treated and completely dried after a drying time of approximately 8 hours at 20 degrees centigrade such that a protective covering layer of oil is formed on the wood surface.
