MEDICINAL FORMULATION OF ACENOCOUMAROL AND METHOD OF OBTAINING IT

Acenocoumarol is an anticoagulant that requires strictly dosed and controlled application in small concentrations. The created tablet medicinal formulation, which contains acenocoumarol and inert pharmaceutically acceptable carriers, provides homogeneity of the active substance low concentration content, slow and gradual disintegration of the tablet cores with an even release of the active substance, and stability of the active substance and the medicinal formulation. The medicinal formulation comprises the following ingredients in weight percent: acenocoumarol - 0.5 to 1.5; lactose monohydrate - 20 to 60; microcrystalline cellulose û 10 to 55; corn or wheat starch û 15 to 45; and dry povidone with a molecular weight of 25 000 to 90á000 û 0.5 to 25; as well as talc, magnesium stearate andcolloidal silicon dioxide. The medicinal formulation is obtained by adding the acenocoumarol to the excipients after mixing it with a part of the estimated total quantity of microcrystalline cellulose, the latter being pre-structured to dimensions of 800 û 1000 microns.
