METHOD OF TREATMENT OR PREVENTION OF ADHESIVE CAPSULITE IN PATIENT NEEDING THIS TREATMENT. The invention relates to the discovery that collagenase injections are effective for the use of collagenous shoulder adhesions and to treat the disorder, adhesive capsulitis. Accordingly, the invention relates to methods of treating or preventing adhesive capsulitis, or frozen shoulder, in a patient in need of such treatment which comprises injecting or otherwise distributing an effective amount of collagenase in collagenous shoulder adhesions. The invention also relates to the use of collagenase in the manufacture of a medicament for treating adhesive capsulitis.
