Deep cultivation strains Geosmithia species MK385B (CCM 8366) and Geosmithia species MK583B (CCM 8365), mixture of anthraquinone dyes produced by them and process for preparing such mixture

A way of fermentative preparation, separation and purification of the extra- and intracellular anthraquinone dye produced by filamentous fungi of the genus Geosmithia. Cultivation of strain Geosmithia is carried out under submerged conditions at a temperature of 22 to 37 degC on synthetic dropout medium. Biomass production microorganism from the culture liquid after the fermentation is removed by filtration or centrifugation. Both the retentate and the dried biomass is extracted with a suitable organic solvent and concentrated on an evaporator or a lyophilizer. This crude color extract is further used as a final product or further processed separation techniques on solid phase using a suitable sorbent for various anthraquinone dyes.
