The present invention relates to a method of preserving the security state of electronic equipment and systems after a failure, in which processor technology is used based on the principle of complex fail safety in order to ensure safe operation. The specified state of safety is preserved after a failure so that the safety-related information necessary to perform the safe operation of the backup processor of electronic equipment is transferred from the non-volatile memory to the volatile operating memory of the backup processor of the electronic equipment after it is started up and destroyed in the non-volatile memory. When the backup processor of the electronic equipment goes into a safe state after a failure, the corresponding security-related information stored in the volatile operating memory is encoded, thereby preventing the restoration of the specified security-related information in the future, even if the backup processor of the electronic equipment is reinitialized, and therefore, safe operation is maintained.
