A model arm for teaching manipulation of a distal radius fracture (1) has a model of the human forearm (2) which contains a distal radial fracture fragment (8). The model arm is attached to an aluminium stand (3) which is connected to the interface unit (40) and houses the tensioning unit (5). The tensioning unit (5) is attached to the distal radial fracture fragment (8) to allow displacement of the fracture in several directions and to offer different levels of resistance to manipulation of the distal fadial fragment (8). When the user manually palpates the distal radial fracture fragment (8) they can then manipulate the fragment to reduce the fracture. Thus, the model provides a method for teaching and practicing manipulation of a distal radius fracture. Figure 2
