A SILICON SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC CELL AND A METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME A Silicon solar photovoltaic cell including metal contacts at the back, front emitter, means of selective configuration for simultaneous diffusion of N and p type, said cell being adapted to collect both types of generated carriers from the front emitter and also from the bulk material, through said means for simultaneous diffusion of N and P type, wherein there is provided at the said metal contacts, solar grade mono and multi-crystalline wafers, thereby achieving high efficiency of the cells in the range of 20% to 22%. A method of fabricating the cell is also disclosed.
