摘要

The present invention provides improved process for the electrowinning of copper from acidic copper sulphate solution using bipolar electrode. This invention is more eco friendly as the lead anode is substituted with Titanium Substrate Insoluble Anode (TSIA) having precious metal oxide coating involving Iridium and Ruthenium on the anode side. It also paves the way for copper electro winning cells of enhanced productivity and also to extend this art to the winning / refining of copper and other metals.
