Guiding aprons in the form of a top apron 6 and/or a bottom apron 7 are provided for a double-apron drafting unit, which guiding aprons are made of a woven material whose warp and weft thread dimensions measure a thickness no larger than 0.2 mm, and whose outer side is provided with a layer of flexible rubber material having a thickness no greater than 0.3 mm.
