A PROCESS OF EXTRACTING JATROPHA CURCAS OIL FOR USE IN DIESEL ENGINES

A process for extracting Jatropha Curcas Oil from Jatropha seeds comprising: - Removing pulp from the seeds, - Extracting oil from said seeds using an expeller - Separating oil containing 35% carbon by filter press to remove sludge, - Decreasing carbon percentage from 35% to 10-20% by refining said filtered oil by a micro-filter of 250-500 mesh, and - Further filtering the above oil through a 50-70 mesh micro-filter to remove sludge and to get better combustion value of the oil.
