A Cooperative Communication Scheme To Enhance Reception Quality In Dense Digital Audio Broadcast Networks

A communication scheme using which digital audio broadcast (DAB) terminals lying in close proximitly cooperate to enhance the overall reception quality. The scheme is devised for DAB networks characterized by a large density of users such that there exists high spatial fading correlation between DAB terminals in close proximity. Each DAB terminal is provided with the capability to relay audio transmissions other than its own using an Amplify - and- Forward ( AF) strategy.
