The method involves slicing a sphere at imaginary vertical lines to form spherical surface segments, where vertical sections are symmetrically distributed and intersected at an upper point and a lower point of the sphere. The surface segments are divided in a flat square plane and distributed over four corner points (Z) of the plane, where the surface segments include desired image segments and undesired images segments. The desired segments are displayed on the plane with a relatively low distortion, and the undesired segments are displayed on the plane with a relatively larger distortion.
