The method involves engaging the accropode (21-23) by a flexible element made of steel so as to form a loop around the accropode. The loop is coupled to an articulated arm (10) of a lifting device (1) such as hydraulic crane through a positioning component. The positioning component is moved with respect to the articulated arm so as to position the accropode engaged around the loop in desired location such as sea bed. An independent claim is included for device for placing load in sea bed.
