The structure (1) has a set of tension cables maintaining a curved configuration of the structure. Multiple sectors include truss cords at different locations, where the truss cords (6) are interconnected via radial and transverse wires (7) that are connected to a profile (3). A set of curved structures is located at top of the sectors, where force is generated by increasing tensile stress in a skeleton. Ends of the profile and the skeleton are attached with each other, where the skeleton is formed from an elastic flexible material such as aluminum and plastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for constructing an emergency shelter or a temporary shelter.
