The process comprises the stages of extracting the FDRs from the electrical equipment, passing them through a PCB adsorbent at a flow rate that determines the residence time, returning them to the electrical equipment and remediating the PCB-containing adsorbent. And the device comprises, in an FDR inlet (1) and outlet (2) conduit, a dirt and particle retaining filter (3) which precedes a pump for metering (4) and propelling said FDR through columns (5-8) with three-way valves (9,10) and an automatic flowmeter (11) for regulating the velocity of passage, which determines the residence time in said columns.
