INVASIVE MEDICAL DEVICE FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF SEMI-RIGID WALL OF THE THORACIC CAVITY AND PROCESS FOR CARRYING OUT THE SAME

The invention relates to an invasive medical device meant for the reconstruction of the semi-rigid tissue of the thoracic cavity and to a process for carrying out the same. The claimed device comprises a woven textile carrier in which both the warp a weft are made of polyester multifilamentary threads with a linear density of 76den/f32X2/120s, reinforced with polyamide monofilamentary threads, with a diameter of about 0.2 mm, having the ratio between the weft threads equal to warp threads =Ru=Rb=2PA:18PES. The claimed process consists in twisting the multifilamentary polyester thread by 120 + or - 20 twists/m, wefting simultaneously the multifilamentary polyester and polyamide threads, weaving the textile carrier on a non-conventional weaving machine, with grippers with flexible rod or projectile, chemically treating with methylene chloride, about 40g/l, for about 4h, at a temperature ranging between 30 and 40A C, washing-degreasing for 3 h, in a solution comprising 25-30 g/l of biodegradable ecological detergent, without foaming agents, 18-20 g/l of natrium hydroxide and 2.5-3 ml/l of acetic acid in a concentration of 100%, and thereafter sterilizing with ionizing treatments at a radiation dose of maximum 25kGy.
