The invention relates to an installation and a process for obtaining ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE) and tert-amyl ethyl ether (TAEE) from fractions C4-C'4 and C5-C'5, of cat-cracking or pyrolysis, with high arsenic content. According to the invention, the installation consists of a part A wherein ETBE is obtained and which comprises: a column (3) for washing the fraction C4-C'4, a vessel (8) for separating water, a vessel (13) for supplying fraction C4-C'4, some adsorbers (33 and 34), a vessel (23) for supplying ethanol, a vessel (39) with catalyst for removing the ethanol impurities, some reactors (51 and 61) for etherification, a rectification column (68), wherefrom, at the bottom side, there is obtained ETBE, an ethanol-water separation column (92), an ethanol rectification column (103), and a part B, wherein there is obtained TAEE, which comprises a column (161) for rectification of the fraction C5-C'5, a water washing column (191), a filter (197), a vessel (201) for supplying fraction C5-C'5, some etherification reactors (211 and 219) and an extraction column (226), wherefrom there is obtained TAEE, at the upper side.
