FIREBOX FOR COMBUSTION OF LARGE BIOMASS BALES WITH MECHANIZED FUEL FEEDING AND CIGARETTE COMBUSTION PRINCIPLE

Firebox for combustion of large biomass bales with mechanized fuel feeding and cigarette combustion principle enables efficient, continual and controlled cobustion of large biomass bales (1). Combustion is carried out inside the firebox room (6). Primary combustion of baled biomass (1) is carried out on an upper grating (9) whereon rests the baled biomass (1) in the firebox (6). For primary combustion of the baled biomass (1), a primary air (13) and a secondary air (8) are used. The primary air (13) is introduced in the firebox (6) around the bale (1), while the secondary bale (8) is introduced into the firebox (6) from the front of the bale (1). Burning the gaseous products from the combustion process is done at their passing through air screens (15), arranged in the firebox (6) itself. Burning the biomass separated from the bales (1) is carried out on the bottom grating (10) of the firebox (6). For burning the separated part of biomass, tertiary air (14) is used. Regulation of the power of the firebox (6) is done by regulating the speed of feeding - pushing the bales (1) in the firebox (6), how deep the bales (1) are plunged into the firebox (6) and the flow of the total air used in the process of combustion.
