SELECTIVE COLLECTOR FOR NON-FERROUS METAL SULFIDE MINERALS CORROSION INHIBITOR IN THE FLOTATION PROCESS OF THESE MINERALS AND ITS USE

Herewith described is a new selective collector for non-ferrous metal sulfide minerals acting at the same time as a corrosion inhibitor in the process of floatation of those minerals, and which consists of water, sodium hydroxide and salts of mercaptobenzothiazole or derivatives thereof in a mass ratio from 5:1:4 to 4:1:5, depending on the type of ore, mineral content and the way of arrangement of useful and unuseful minerals in the ore. There is also described a process of floatation by the use of such a collector wherein it can be used separately or in combination with the collectors of xanthate or dithiophosphate, in the mass ratio from 2:1 to 4:1. In the process of floatation by the use of new collector 20-3- mass % of its dose is added during the milling phase of the ore, and the rest, in the remaining floatation phases.
