TECHNIQUE FOR COMBINED ENDOVASCULAR-SURGICAL TREATMENT OF ANEURISMS OF ARCH OF AORTA

A technique for the combined endovascular-surgical treatment of aneurisms of the arch of aorta is base on the separation of the arch of aorta and its lateral branches in the setting of the hypothermic arrest of blood circulation, the delivery of the endoprosthesis with self-fixing resilient elements. The multibranch endoprosthesis with the sealing bushings at the peripheral ends of the lateral branch and the proximal end of the major branch is used. The endoprosthesis is inserted through the longitudinal incision on the anterior surface of the arch of aorta. Each lateral branch of the endoprosthesis is inserted in turn to the lateral branches of the arch of aorta. The bandages are applied to the external surfaces of the lateral branches of the arch of aorta as well as the proximal end of the arch of aorta at the sites, where the sealing bushings are located. Finally, the cut in the arch of aorta is sutured.
