METHOD FOR GROWING LABORATORY POPULATIONS OF SPECIES OF TRICHOGRAMMA GENUS

A method for growing laboratory populations of species of the Trichogramma genus includes growing the parasite in eggs of feeder insects at the optimum hydrothermal conditions with the populations of Trichogramma (Trichogramma pintoi Voeg.) grown in the eggs of the greater wax moth (Galleria mellonella Z.). In addition, eggs of the greater wax moth, no elder than 24 hours, are proposed to the females of Trichogramma for infecting. The eggs of the wax moth are preliminary irradiated with ultraviolet rays in the course of 18-20 hours.
