Method for use of data of information medium at elaboration of design-project documentation for construction of industrial enterprise includes separation of all the data for current designing by functional features to data banks. Data on technical and operation characteristics of equipment are combined to data bank of typical units and parts, characteristics and parameters regulated by normative documents are combined to bank of normative documents. Data on variants of intermediate projects of building of industrial enterprise are entered to bank of intermediate solutions. Exchange of data between data banks, data exchange between data banks and designer and control of variants of intermediate projects of building of industrial enterprise are carried out by means of at least one control module. At stage of feasibility study of project of building of industrial enterprise one chooses main project of building of industrial enterprise and that is used at following stages of development of designing documentation for building industrial enterprise. As data for current designing one uses data on geographical-economical parameters of territories of industrial agglomerations. Data on geographical-economical parameters of territories of industrial agglomerations are combined to data bank of territories. At choosing main project at stage of feasibility study of project of building of industrial enterprise module of choice of optimal solution uses data from data bank of territories of industrial agglomerations. As criteria of optimization one uses criteria of economic efficiency of functioning of industrial enterprise under conditions of industrial agglomerations.
