METHOD FOR TREATING POSTBULBAR DUODENAL ULCER

A method for treating postbulbar duodenal ulcer comprises getting the ulcer out of the limits of the alimentary tract. In the anterior duodenal wall, the opening is cut in the projection of the ulcer with its diameter exceeding that of the ulcer. The edges of the defect of the anterior wall is sutured in the perimeter of the ulcer involving the whole anterior wall through, while in the posterior wall only mucous and submucous layers are involved. Then the ulcer is tamponated by applying the purse-string suture at a distance of 0.7- from the sutured defect of the anterior wall in the perimeter of the ulcer put out of the limits of the alimentary tract. The patency of the alimentary tract is recovered with the aid of the anterior precolonic gastroenteroanastomosis of Braun type.
