A method for the intraoperative intercostal cryoanalgesia provides for insertion of the cryodrainages into the intercostal where thoracotomy was performed as well as the adjacent intercostals. The applicator in diameter is used at the temperature of -195 °. The time of cryoapplication is one minute followed by the rapid apparatus-guided heating with one cycle starting at a site located at a distance of 2- from the place where the nerve is raised from intervartebral opening. Then ethanol-novocain blockade is performed in the intercostals distal to cryoapplication site.
