A method for diagnosing the asymmetry of blood flow in the area of divergence between radial and tibial arteries is based on the comparative palpatory assessment of the pulse wave (strength of pulse) or the comparison of the intensity of infrared radiation with the aid of thermal vision. At the air temperature of 18-22 ° and the relative humidity of 55-65 %, the probe is applied to the skin of both arms in the area of the internal surface of the wrist joint in the middle of the line connecting epiphyses of ulna and radius. The thermal flux is measured with the aid of thermoelectric semiconductive device. The difference of at least 15ּ10W/cmbetween the heat flux in the symmetrical areas of the skin of the hands or the feet is indicative of the pulse asymmetry.
