A refractometer for the eye comprises the illuminating system generating the microspot of light in the retina, the measuring system with the lens, the fixed spatial filter and the photodetector located sequentially in the same optical axis, the circuit for video signal input, the unit for processing and imaging, and the light-dividing element comprising the axes of the illuminating and measuring systems. The output of the photodetector is connected to the circuit for video signal input, which in turn is connected to the unit for processing and imaging. The magnification of the lens is variable. The unit for processing and imaging allows for scaling the images obtained.
