A proposed unit for primary sunflower seed processing includes a frame on which a beater machine is rigidly fixed. It consists of a body, from above of which a loading hole is arranged, in lower part thereof a feed roller is mounted, in the centre of the body on the shaft a rotor with plates is fixed, on the left in the body a deck plate with a mechanism of regulating a space is movably fixed, in the lower part of the body there is a sleeve. In the middle of the frame two cleaners, each of which consists of a sieve with a bottom plate, are movably built-in, lower ends thereof are fixed to the frame with the aid of a steel plate, trays for removing shells and kernels are fixed to the lower part of the sieve and the bottom plate, and the upper ends to a crank mechanism. The cleaners are arranged in such a manner as to allow driving the sieves with bottom plates of the both cleaners in the reciprocal motion from the common drive with two crank mechanisms, the cranks of which are rigidly fixed on the same driving shaft and are shifted relative to each other by an angle =/2.
