THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A WATERPROOFING MATERIAL USING BENTONITE AS ITS PRINCIPAL ELEMENT. SINCE BENTONITE POWDER ITSELF CAN NOT BE DIRECTLY UTILIZED AS THE WATERPROOFING MATERIAL, MOST EFFECTIVE AD-MIXTURES ARE SUGGESTED FOR BONDING AND SHAPING OF POWDER TYPE OF BENTONITE TO KEEP ITS SHAPE AS FOLLOWS; WATERPROOFING MATERIAL IS MANUFACTURED BY BLENDING FOLLOWING AD-MIXTURES WITH BENTONITE AS A KEY RAW MATERIAL COMPRISING; (A) 50-90 WEIGHT % OF BENTONITE (B) ORGANIC MATERIALS COMPOSED OF 3-15 WEIGHT % OF POLY-BUTYL ACRYLATE, OF 0.1-2.0 WEIGHT % OF ACRYLAMIDE AND 0.1-2.0 WEIGHT % OF ACRYLIC ACID, (C) COMPOUND SOLUTION OF 1:1 RATIO BY WEIGHT BASED ON THE POLY-BUTYL ACRYLATE, AND (D) SOLVENT OF ENOUGH QUANTITY WHICH ENABLES TO PRODUCE SOLID DENSITY OF 20-35 WEIGHT % BY ADDING MIXTURE OF (B) AND (C). MORE PARTICULARLY THE ABOVE SHAPING TECHNIQUES BY ADDING ADMIXTURES WITH BENTONITE CAN BE APPLIED FOR PLUGGING WATER LEAKAGE ON GAPS BETWEEN CABLES AND PENETRATED HOLES AT UNDERGROUND CABLE MANHOLE AND OBTAINED THE MOST EFFECTIVE WATER PLUGGING EFFECT.
