The pipeline has a thermal insulation unit (2) made of foam material and provided between an internal conduit (1) and an outer protective casing (3). A metallic armouring unit is embedded into the thermal insulation unit and is connected with the internal conduit in a shear resistant manner. The armouring unit is designed as a lattice beam (4) with belts (5, 6) running parallel to an axis of the conduit and diagonal bars (7) connecting the belts. The belt (5) is provided within an area of the outer protective casing. The conduit and the insulation unit are made of polyethylene.
