Deposit device in at least one thin layer of a powder (P), or of a mixture of powders, used during the action of a laser on material contained in a thermal enclosure, comprising a storage medium (8), a means (12) for feeding powder, or for mixing powders, a storage area (9) of said powder or said mixture from said storage medium, and a means for compacting the powder or the powder mixture deposited on said deposit zone, said device comprising a circular base cylinder (12) provided, on the one hand, with at least one groove (15), made on an external surface of said cylinder (12) and, on the other hand , of a surface (12a, 16a) adapted to compact the powder (P) or the powder mixture previously deposited on said deposit area (9), said cylinder (12), said storage means (8), said zone of deposit (9), the powder (P) or the mixture of powders located in said enclosure adapted to be maintained in temperature while allowing the guiding and dragging of the cylinder (12) from the outside of said enclosure, said groove (15) being oriented in a direction globally parallel to the longitudinal axis (AA '') of said cylinder (12), and being adapted to feed the deposit zone (9) from the storage medium (8) with powder or powder mixture, collecting the powder or the powder mixture (figure 48), displacing the powder or the mixture of powders by means of a translational movement of the cylinder (12), and then ensuring a complete and rapid deposit (figure 4D) of the powder or the mixture of powders in the deposit area, the roughness of the external surface being (12a) of said cylinder (12) less than the surface roughness of said deposit area (9), the roughness of the external surface (12a) being adapted to the minimum particle size of the powder (P) used.
