A method for applying a catalyst coating to a radiator (20) vehicle having a frame (22) forming a window (23), a plurality of conduits (26) tubular within the window for carrying a coolant and fins ( 30) between the conduits having louvers (38) vent formed therein, said method comprising the steps of: a) providing a suspension of said catalyst in Cuba (64) agitation; b) providing at least two heads (50A, 50B, 50C) mounted for common movement spraying on a robotic arm (48), each spray head receiving a source of pressurized air; c) providing a separate pump (70A, 70B, 70C) for each spray head for pumping said slurry from said Cuba to said spray head; d) controlling said pump to operate at a generally constant speed; e) putting independently valved said pumped fluid communication with said spray heads for a sufficient discrete time to allow said arm to move said spray head through a movement spray set for spraying said suspension on a side face suspension said window (23) of said suspension radiator penetrating at least to the center depth of said fins (30); and, f) repeating step (e) to the opposite face side of said radiator window (20).
