Catheter in particular for endovascular applications, of the kind comprising a long and flexible tubular hollow body (1) having one end (4) of insertion and one end (3) of connection intended to remain outside the body, and, in the end (4) of insertion, at least two elements (9, 12) which are expandable / contractible by means of external operation and which are located at a distance from each other as to operate one upstream and the other downstream of a given section of a vessel being adapted and / or being able to adapt said expandable / contractible elements (9, 12), with regard to their diameters in the expanded condition, to the diameters of the vessels (10, 210) within the which are intended to be positioned, as to block temporarily the circulation inside said vessel section; in which: the two elements (9, 12) located at the end (4) insertion are inflatable / deflatable by means of conduits (6, 8) for supply and discharge are provided within the thickness of the catheter wall the catheter has a tubular shape (1) with a first larger diameter, provided on the outside of the first element (9) which is inflatable / deflatable by means of one (6) of the ducts provided in the thickness of the wall while at least one (8) of the other conduits within the thickness of the wall extends, after a certain length, into an extension (11) having a smaller diameter substantially of the order of magnitude of the duct (8) and terminates in the second inflatable / deflatable element (12); and the catheter also has at least two radiopaque markers; characterized in that: the at least two elements are located at a fixed distance from each other; and the catheter also comprises an additional duct (7) for a guide wire provided only in the distal portion of the catheter extension and having an opening (21) located between the inflatable / deflatable elements (9 and 12).
