Marking and identification mechanisms in theTransport level for content cache management.;The object of this invention is to define themechanisms and additional features necessary tosupport the deployment of content-based cache servicesThe transport level protocol. It provides the mechanisms ofmarkup required for the identification of content at the levelof transport, as well as the interception mechanisms thatwould allow the sending of cached contents byintermediate servers A specific design of these is proposedmechanisms, using the TCP transport protocol. TheProposed mechanisms are directly applicable in the deployment ofcommunications networks, allowing the creation of servicesgeneric cache, independent of the applications they makeuse of them.
