A hammer (10), for use in a tool string in a perforation comprising: a hollow cover (11); a mandrel chuck (13); a bolt plug (14); at least one llavín (16); a cam surface (17); a camera (23); a compression spring (24); and an adjuster (27); in which: the hollow cover holds, retained therein so that it can move, to the hammer mandrel and the bolt block; the hammer mandrel and the bolt block are secured to the joint release by means of at least one key, each key being able to move between a closing position, in which the lock plug and the hammer mandrel are connected together and a release position that allows their separation; the surface of the cam is attachable with each said key to move each said key from said closing position to said release position when the hammer mandrel occupies a preselected position on the cover; the compression spring is constrained within the chamber and acts between the bolt block and the hollow cover to skew the hammer mandrel when connected to the bolt block by moving it from the preselected position; The adjuster includes an adjuster mandrel (47) that can rotate with respect to the hollow cover and has an outer portion (49) that can be coupled from outside the hollow cover via its side, and a portion of the adjuster (51) that it is threadedly connected to the hammer mandrel so that the rotation of the adjuster mandrel relative to the hammer mandrel alters the chamber length and therefore the compression spring compression; the bolt block includes a hollow interior having two or more bolt supports formed on a surface thereof (39a; 39b); and each said key has at least two surfaces of the bolt (20), each said surface of the lock of a said key being able to be coupled with a said support of the adjacent bolt block, when the key occupies its closing position with the hammer mandrel placed in the hollow interior of the bolt block.
