Method for testing ex vivo drug efficacy or drug candidates for treating breast cancers, characterized by comprising: a) placing in culture of cancer cells from a sample of breast on a base medium of tumor cells comprising the combination of growth factors and the following ingredients: to obtain a cell culture of tumor cells essentially devoid of stromal cells, b) contacting the cell culture obtained in step a) with one or more drugs or drug candidates; c) identification and selection or drugs or drug candidates that exhibit antiproliferative activity.
